As a kid, I sank in the swimming pool, lacked the coordination for basketball, and broke ear drums with my saxophone. At the age of nine, my parents took me to the climbing gym and I instantly found my place. Climbing, the sport for misfits, had accepted me with open arms.

Competitions claimed the majority of my first decade of climbing. At age 19, I refocused my efforts on difficult routes outside. Between studies at the University of Colorado in Boulder, I climbed throughout the country, making ascents of test pieces such as Grand Ole Opry (5.14b) at the Monastery, Colorado and Just Do It (5.14c) in Smith Rock, Oregon.

After graduating with a BA Degree in Marketing, I designed 'Lead Now', a world climbing tour with production company Louder Than 11. Over nine months, we traveled to South Africa, Russia, Italy, Japan, China, India, Turkey, Ecuador, and Chile, creating videos highlighting my climbing objectives to raise over $20,000 for nonprofit initiatives that support women and children.

Today, I'm most interested in testing myself on historic sport routes around the world. I love beautifully blank faces of rock that demand my prolonged attention and effort. My proudest achievements include Odin's Eye (5.14c) in Flatanger, Norway; Necessary Evil (5.14c) in Arizona's Virgin River Gorge; and Algorithm (5.14c/d) in Idaho's Fins.

I travel. I climb. I founded a nonprofit organization that builds classrooms in rural Africa. I run a production company with my husband called Olifant Productions that focuses on adventure storytelling. Whether working on a creative film project from my dark studio or hanging 100 feet off the deck on my latest climbing objective, I put my heart into everything I do. The beauty of obsession lies in the pursuit to give everything my absolute best, and to feel proud of my work, no matter the outcome.
